Free event run by ICA and Occupational Therapists showcasing aids to help with washing/dressing, eating/drinking, walking, bathing, sight and hearing.
Do you struggle to open a jar or finding lifting the kettle or saucepan difficult?
Do you know someone who could do with help getting their socks on or struggles to have a bath safely?
Island Community Action in conjunction with the Greenwood Independent Living Centre will be demonstrating pieces of equipment that aim to help you live as independently as possible. For example aids for washing and dressing, eating and drinking, food preparation, walking and bathing aids, sight and hearing devices, and technology equipment.
Following the demonstration there will be time to chat to the Occupational Therapists over coffee and biscuits regarding your individual needs and take away a free pack of information.
Call ICA to book a free space and join us to see what handy gadgets may be able to help you. Transport can be arranged at £4 return trip (transport only available for Portland residents)
