AIR Radio has officially opened its new studios in Weymouth during a special celebration marking both the station’s fifteenth birthday and a unique Dorset milestone. The new AIR Studios in Maiden Street were officially opened today by the Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset, Professor Michael Dooley.

The new AIR Studios in Maiden Street were officially opened today by the Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset, Professor Michael Dooley.
The event also celebrated the twenty-fifth birthday of Jamie Lyons’ quadruplets — believed to have been the first set of quadruplets born in Dorset — who were delivered by Professor Dooley during his time as a surgeon at Dorset County Hospital.
Guests attending the launch included local advertisers, civic representatives and MP Lloyd Hatton, alongside the Mayor and other invited figures.
AIR says it will be broadcasting live throughout the day from the newly-opened studios at Jeffery House.
