AIR has announced a new partnership with the Dorset County Show, which will see the local radio station promote one of the county’s biggest annual events, broadcast live from the Show and play a major role across the weekend.
The Dorset County Show returns on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September 2026, bringing together agriculture, food and drink, entertainment, local businesses and communities from across Dorset for the popular two-day event.
As part of the new partnership, AIR will support the build-up to this year’s show with extensive promotion across its radio output and social media platforms.
AIR will also broadcast live from the Dorset County Show, bringing listeners the atmosphere of the event along with interviews, updates and coverage from around the showground throughout the weekend.
AIR presenters will also be at the heart of the entertainment, taking on the role of comperes for the Music Stage, introducing performers and entertaining visitors across both days.
The partnership brings together two organisations with a strong focus on Dorset and its communities, while providing another platform to showcase the people, businesses, performers and organisations taking part in the event.
James Cox, Events Organiser for the Dorset County Show, said:
“We’re delighted to be partnering with AIR for this year’s Dorset County Show. Having AIR involved both in the build-up and at the Show itself will help us reach even more people across the area.
“With AIR broadcasting live from the Show and their presenters hosting the Music Stage, we’re looking forward to them bringing their energy and experience to what promises to be a fantastic weekend.”
Jamie Lyones, CEO of AIR, said:
“We’re incredibly excited to be partnering with the Dorset County Show. It’s exactly the sort of major community event that AIR wants to get behind.
“Our role as a local broadcaster is about much more than playing music. It’s about getting out into the community and supporting the organisations, businesses and events that make Dorset such a fantastic place to live and visit.
“We’ll be promoting the Show extensively on air and across our social media channels in the run-up to September, but importantly we’ll also be there broadcasting live, bringing the Dorset County Show directly to our listeners.
“Our presenters are really looking forward to hosting the Music Stage too, so AIR will be right at the heart of the action throughout the weekend.
“This is another important partnership for AIR as we continue to grow our presence across Dorset, and we’re proud to be working alongside the Dorset County Show in 2026.”
Further details about AIR’s live broadcasts, presenters, interviews and coverage from the Show will be announced in the run-up to the event.
The Dorset County Show takes place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September 2026.
