Community groups in Weymouth are being invited to a networking event next week. The session will focus on improving connections and making volunteering more accessible. It takes place at the New Town Hall on Tuesday April twenty first.
Weymouth Town Council is inviting local groups to a community networking event later this month.
The event, themed “connecting community”, will bring together voluntary organisations to share ideas and learn about local initiatives.
It will take place at the Council Chamber in the New Town Hall on Tuesday 21 April, from 10.15am to 1pm.
Volunteer Centre Dorset will be speaking about barriers to volunteering and how to make opportunities more accessible.
Attendees will also hear a summary of findings from the council’s recent community survey.
Organisers say the event is a chance for groups to connect, collaborate and highlight the work being done across Weymouth.
Places must be booked in advance, with registration closing at midday on Friday 17 April.
