A commemorative service has been held in Weymouth to mark ANZAC Day. Residents gathered on the seafront to remember those who served.
A special service has been held in Weymouth to mark ANZAC Day.
Organised by Weymouth Town Council, the event took place on the seafront on Saturday, bringing together residents to remember the sacrifices made by members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
Representatives from both the New Zealand and Australian Defence Forces attended the ceremony, alongside local groups and members of the community.
Wreaths were laid at the ANZAC Memorial, with readings from students at Wey Valley Academy and music performed by the Salvation Army band.
Organisers thanked everyone who took part, describing the event as a poignant moment of remembrance.
